Supporting the many wonderful, talented and hardworking men and women who work in the
Beauty Industry, is something that I love about what I do. With that being said, the salon business can be ugly (most everyone has a nightmare story!). We offer Beauty Professionals the freedom of salon ownership—their very own space to create, thrive and succeed!

A business is not unlike a living organism; reliant on constant care and adaptation to evolve
according to its environment at any given time. I get bored easily and managing a business
never ceases to challenge me in new ways.

I actually don’t consider myself a business woman. I just don’t label myself in that regard. I do
believe women have something uniquely vital to contribute to business and the global economy.
Nothing better than a man, but ideally, in addition to.

When I was first starting out, I was offered a wonderful position to manage a high-end / high-
volume traditional salon. I recall my exact goal was to: Make this business run like a well-oiled
machine! I vowed that I would do whatever it took to make that business run perfectly! Well, for
the next 2 years, I pretty much made myself and everyone around me miserable. Businesses
never run perfectly. There is no such thing. I eventually replaced that unrealistic goal with a
simple question. I would go into work each day, look around and ask myself: How can I help?
This made me, and everyone around me, much happier (and much more productive!).

That’s a tough one. I do know I’m doing something right if the energy in the building feels
good—if our Beauty Professionals are successful and happy, that means we’ve done our job well!

A career in business can be an empowering one. There is so much to learn and endless
opportunities to grow and become a better person. I believe that at the end of the day, that is
the purpose of our lives.
