Slick Family

As you may have read in the previous blog entry, “Slick Team”, a lot has changed in the last few months at Slick Marketers. Both the size and experience of the team have undergone significant growth, but so has the bond between each member. Essentially, the Slick Marketers team has become a Slick Marketers family, with casual jokes and conversations allowing us to get to know one another better, while we continue to produce the best results possible for our clients. However, in an effort for our loyal community of followers and clients to get to know us better too, a series of questions have been devised to aid in this endeavor:

Steven Jung

  1. What is your favorite movie? I personally don’t think that I have a favorite movie, but my favorite genre is sci-fi. As long as there is an adventure and it’s within the realm of science fiction/fantasy, I want to see what it’s all about.

  1. What is your favorite tv show? My favorite tv show isZoids”. It’s an anime and I loved the show, from the moment that I first saw it. I was a freshman in highschool when I first watched it, and I thought that it was the best show that I had ever seen. The best part about it all, is that they came out with a new series for it this past summer.

  1. What is your favorite song? My all-time favorite song isFeeling This” by Blink-182. My friends laugh whenever they get into my car, because one of them recently did so and asked me if it’s ever on in my car.

  1. What is your favorite food? Chicken creole. It used to be spaghetti, until my mom made chicken creole for the first time.

  1. Who is your biggest role model? Jesus, because I’m Christian. However, I know that not everyone believes in him, so my second choice is Burt Gummer, from the movie “Tremors”. He survived a graboid attack and is always prepared with his guns.

  1. What is your favorite thing about working at Slick Marketers? I love the atmosphere and how we listen to music while we work. It’s also fun to crack jokes with the coworkers and it keeps me busy, so that I don’t get bored easily. The only time that I ever yawn, is when I’m trying to fight off a food coma after lunch.

  1. What is your favorite memory (so far) while working at Slick Marketers? Learning new skills, regarding how to optimize search engines. I never really put much thought into it, until I completed my previous internship and started working here. I never considered the amount of time and effort that goes into working on something like that, for Google or any search engine for that matter. I’m always learning something new here.

  1. How did you come to work at Slick Marketers? I filled out an application on “Indeed”. I won’t lie, I was discouraged because I had applied to several jobs before getting hired here and I was worried that I wouldn’t hear back. I’m so glad that they considered me, it’s fun working here.

  1. In your own words, what do you do at Slick Marketers? I assist in optimizing search engine efficiency. Essentially, I analyze and research popular search terms, match it to what’s important for the clients and optimize the client’s websites.  I also work on social media, both creating posts and working on building relationships for the clientele.

  1. Out of all the current projects that you’re working on, what would you say is the most enjoyable? I would say both Google Adwords and building relationships with potential prospects, for our clients. If I focus on one thing for a whole day at Slick Marketers, my eyes start to hurt, so it’s nice to switch gears every hour or so.

  1. What is your educational background? I was once an esteemed professor at the College of Winterhold. In fact, I was the lead instructor teaching about the correlation between emotions and the intensity of destruction magic. However, I eventually left to pursue my bachelor’s degree at California State University Fullerton. There, I graduated in May of 2017, with my degree in Communication.

  1. What are you most likely doing when you’re not at work? Exploring Tamriel or hunting for Pokemon. Sometimes, I travel between various universes to get what needs to be done, done. I must say, the Reality Stone and Space Stone make it quite easy to travel the universe. No wonder Thanos wanted them for his quest.

  1. What is one thing about you that the Slick Marketers team doesn’t already know? It’s getting easier to hide my tail between my legs. It would be embarrassing if they found out that I had a tail and that I could transform into Super Saiyan Blue. On second thought, maybe it’s the fact that I can crack my jaw every time I yawn. When I was young I hurt myself and I don’t think that my jaw healed correctly.

  1. How do you personally cope with Josh playing the Jurassic Park soundtrack at work every day? I run scenarios through my head of how to escape the Regus building, in case all of a sudden dinosaurs attacked. So far, only three scenarios require us to break the window and jump out, in order to escape and survive (note – scenarios are based on specific dinosaur situations ie- a T-Rex attack, a Spinosaurus attack, etc).
